posted on by Egan Loo
Financial news source: Tecmo KOEI's acquisition of RPG maker is worth 2.2 billion yen

The financial news source Nikkei reported on Wednesday that the game developer Gust and its new owner Tecmo KOEI Holdings aim to make social games of Gust's Atelier console role-playing game franchise. Nikkei was covering the announcement earlier in the day of Tecmo KOEI Holdings' acquisition of Gust as a wholly-owned subsidiary. According to Nikkei, the acqusition price was 2.2 billion yen (about US$28 million).

Nippon Ichi Software currently distributes the Atelier games in North America.
