posted on by Chris Nishijima
Culinary project "Animesia" brings anime inspired dishes to Akihabara in their first public event.

The Association of Japanese Animations (AJA) has announced its latest project, Animesia, a culinary campaign devoted to the recreation and distribution of dishes and recipes from various anime series. The first phase of the project will be an “Anime Recipe Exhibition,” taking place from February 11 to 16. The exhibition will consist of a partial menu served at Akihabara UDX's Akiba Ichi food court consisting of two items inspired by Lupin the Third: Castle of Cagliostro:

  • Spaghetti and Meatballs for 2,400 yen
  • Lupin's San Danielle Prosciutto for 2,000 yen

Customers who purchase either of the items from Akiba Ichi's chiocciol@pizzeria will receive a special Lupin the Third commemorative place mat.

During the exhibition, Animesia will also be showcasing their plans for future events and development at Akihabara's Tokyo Anime Center. In addition to this, Animesia will be presenting several dishes still in development to be served by Akiba Ichi's other restaurants.

The dishes in development include:

Animesia plans to continue expanding their projects in April, the details of which are available at their home page.
