Funimation Hosts Interactive Date a Live Dating Game

Live interactive dating sim panel to be hosted at A-kon in Texas

Ever want to be part of designing a dating sim or visual novel? This week, FUNimation is giving you the chance to do just that in their real life interactive dating game. In order to commemorate the American release of the first season of Date A Live on DVD and Blu-ray, FUNimation will be hosting a dating game panel on Friday, June 6th at 1:45pm at Dallas's A-Kon convention.

But, while FUNimation may have the questions figured out for their real live dating sim, everyone knows that the best dating sims need equally good answers. Therefore, they are asking their fans to submit answers for the three questions that they have devised, either by email or through the thread on its official campaign page, where you can register for the contest. The questions are as follow:

  • Question 1: Your friend has set you up on a blind date. Where do you suggest the two of you meet?
  • Question 2: Throughout dinner your date has seemed bored and disinterested. What do you say to liven up the conversation?
  • Question 3: You are picking your date up at her house. While she goes to get her jacket her dad walks in. What do you do?

Three answers will be selected per question and used as multiple choice answers during the game itself. The nine fans who are witty enough to come up with the chosen answers will win a special limited edition Date A Live DVD wrap signed by the members of the cast.

For those who do not live in the Dallas area, FUNimation has set up a means of playing the game via Twitter. While they have yet to announce what they might be, there are to be prizes for those who decide to play. The panel itself will graced by the presence of three of the voice actors from Date A Live, Michelle Rojas (the voice of Tohka Yatogami), Felecia Angelle (the voice of Mana Takamiya), and Michelle Lee (the voice of Origami Tobiichi).

The FUNimation American release of Date A Live will hit shelves on June 10. You can order the Blu-ray and DVD combo pack by visiting the FUNimation web store.
