Life-Size Patlabor Ingram Sets Up Shop Outside A Tokyo Shopping Mall

posted on by Bamboo Dong

Videographer darwinfish recently posted a time-lapse video of a life-size Patlabor AV-98 Ingram robot being set up outside Tokyo's LaLaport Toyosu shopping mall. The life-size model is one of two created at the cost of several tens of millions of yen (several hundred thousand US dollars) for the live-action The Next Generation -Patlabor- project.

The Ingram has been making its way around Japan this year, hitting up Kichijoki Station, QVC Marine Field (home stadium of the Chiba Lotte Marines), and other locations.

In addition to the two Ingram robots, the live-action Patlabor production also used Suidobashi Heavy Industry's real-life rideable robot Kuratas.
