Voice Actors Hit the Road for Yowamushi Pedal Bus Tour, Radio Show

This April, the cast of Yowamushi Pedal is hitting the road for an event to celebrate the conclusion of their anime series — and inviting their fans to come along. However, they'll be swapping out the grueling fatigue of bicycling for the relative comfort of a tour bus.

The Playback Yowamushi Pedal Bus Tour will leave Tokyo Station on April 18 and take the Inter-High School Championships course in the mountains around Hakone, southwest of Tokyo. Tourists will get to see the places where scenes from the anime played out and will be treated to a talk by Daiki Yamashita (Sakamichi). They will overnight at The Prince Hakone.

On the 19th, Yamashita will be joined by his castmates Showtaro Morikubo (Yūsuke), Kentarou Itou (Jin), Tsubasa Yonaga (Sangaku), Hiroyuki Yoshino (Yasutomo) and Hirofumi Nojima (Kōtarō) at the Izu Velodrome, a cycling center, for a public radio show. A tour bus will head here from Tokyo Station for fans who'd rather skip the hotel and bicycle course tour.

All tourists will get an illustration as a gift and will have the opportunity to buy exclusive merchandise. Registration for the tours starts on February 12 online. The single-day tour costs 19,800 yen (about $167), while the overnight version costs 37,800 to 39,800 yen ($318-$335) depending on the number of people per room. If the number of tourists is too high, the organizers will resort to a raffle to select who gets to go.
