Men & Women Agree: Idol Kanna Hashimoto is the Cutest

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

A recent web poll conducted by My Navi Student has determined which idol is the fairest of them all. At least according to the readers on its website. Choices among both men and women were nearly identical with Kanna Hashimoto of the group Rev. from DVL the top choice.

Hashimoto has been described as the "exceedingly angelic" center of Rev. from DVL, an idol group based out of Fukuoka Prefecture. She's recently starred in Cup Noodle commercials, the live-action Assassination Classroom film, and is set to appear in the Sailor Suit and Machine Gun satire film remake.

Right behind Hashimoto is AKB48's Mayu Watanabe at #2 for both the men and women's list. Watanabe was crowned #1 last year in the AKB48 General Election, although Rino Sashihara won the honor this year. Known by her fans as Mayuyu, the idol is a self-proclaimed anime fan and helped promote the television version of the Evangelion: 2.0 You Can [Not] Advance film.

Rounding out the top three for the men's choices is Nogizaka46's Mai Shiraishi. The idol starred in the live-action television adaptation of Kamen Teacher.

Cutest Idols (Men's Choices)

  1. Kanna Hashimoto (Rev. from DVL)
  2. Mayu Watanabe (AKB48)
  3. Mai Shiraishi (Nogizaka46)
  4. Rina Ikoma (Nogizaka46)
  5. Rino Sashihara (HKT48)

Cutest Idols (Women's Choices)

  1. Kanna Hashimoto (Rev. from DVL)
  2. Mayu Watanabe (AKB48)
  3. Haruna Kojima (AKB48)
  4. Mai Shiraishi (Nogizaka46)
  5. Rino Sashihara (HKT48)

Other choices that didn't rank included Umika Kawashima (9nine), Sakura Miyawaki (HKT48), Maimi Yajima (℃-ute), Moga Mogami (Dempagumi, Inc.), Haruka Shimazaki (AKB48), Nanase Nishino (Nogizaki46), Nanami Hashimoto (Nogizaki46), Sayaka Yamamoto (NMB48), Nemu Yumemi (Dempagumi, Inc.), Kanako Momota (Momoiro Clover Z), Reni Takagi (Momoiro Clover Z), and Riho Sayashi (Morning Musume).

A previous Goo Ranking poll asked users to pick their favorite idol overall. That list looked decidedly different with the exception of Mayu Watanabe ranking at #6. Perfume's Ayaka Nishikawa topped that poll.
