Sanrio Mascot Cinnamon Gets Unauthorized Lewd Twitter Account

The Sanrio character Cinnamon has his own Twitter account, which he uses to keep his 243,000 followers up to date on all of his important activities. Here's a sample, celebrating his birthday on March 6:

Well, no, Sanrio isn't behind this. Although the account is named "Cinnamon (Official)," it's actually a different one, and obviously not official at all. While Cinnamon's official account is named @cinnamon_Sanrio, this imposter's account is @sinamon_Sanrio and has only been around since March 13. It's already been blocked by the official account, but that hasn't kept it from amassing 20,400 followers versus the real Cinnamon's 243,000.
Sadly, this is not the first time Cinnamon's image has been tarnished. Last year Cinnamon's Twitter account was bombarded with bullying and other inappropriate comments, prompting Sanrio to take action as well. On the positive side, he did come in third in the 2015 Sanrio character poll.
