Bandai Creates Cup Noodles That Transform Into Ultraman Characters

Bandai has announced a new, edible line of Ultraman merchandise: cup noodles that transform into Ultraman characters. These "Ultranoodles" launched on August 6 and are individually priced at 850 yen, or about US$8.44.
Six different characters will be featured: the original Ultraman, Ultraman Zero, Ultraman X, Ultraman Belial, Baltan, and Demaaga. After their three-second transformations, the characters can "battle" for three minutes while their contents are cooking.
The original Ultraman cup, The Ultraman X cup, and the Baltan cup will contain ramen noodles.
The Ultraman Zero cup will contain yakisoba.
Finally, The Ultraman Belial cup and the Demaaga cup will contain donburi.
The Ultraman series began with a live-action television show that first aired in 1966. The franchise includes many live-action shows, films, manga, anime, OVAs, and video games. The most recent incarnation, the live-action show Ultraman Orb, is currently airing and is available for streaming on Crunchyroll.
