Lovely Muco's Real-Life Counterpart Gets Photo Book

Shiba Inu are a popular dog breed known for both their undying loyalty and their high-profile meme status as "Doge". One particular Shiba has gained fans in Japan due in part to getting her own short anime series, Lovely Muuuuuuuco! The anime stars Muco, the pet of glassworker Komatsu, who lives in Akita Prefecture.
The real Muco is the mascot dog for glass studio VETRO and has her own Twitter account that boasts over 175,000 followers.

Muco's popularity can't be contained on social media and she's finally getting her own photo book. The book contains 100 pictures of Muco in full color and is slated for release on November 22. The 10th volume of the Lovely Muco! manga will also go on sale that day in a standard edition and a limited edition that bundles a 2017 desk calendar.
