Anime promoting snow tires debuts on YouTube on October 11

Manga creator Shin Takahashi (Saikano, Kanata Kakeru) is providing the original character designs for the "Road to You ~Kimi e to Tsuzuku Michi~" (Road to You: The Road That Goes On to You) anime short. The anime will begin streaming on YouTube on October 11.

The anime will be part of a promotion for Dunlop's Winter Maxx 02 studless tires. The anime short's story is set in a certain snowy land and centers on the intermingling feelings of three groups of men and women: a couple, a parent and child, and coworkers.

Hiroshi Kawamata (Puka Puka Juju, Hal's Flute) is directing the anime at The Answer Studio Co., Ltd. (Golgo 13, Flag). Kenichi Tsuchiya (The Garden of Words, your name.) is designing the characters based on Takahashi's designs and serving as chief animation director. Keina Suda is composing the music.

Takahashi launched the Kanata Kakeru manga in January 2016, and Shogakukan released the sixth compiled book volume on Friday. Viz Media released Takahashi's Saikano manga in North America. The series inspired a television anime, original video anime, and live-action film. Takahashi's other manga include Hatsukoi Honya., Iihito, Saishū Heiki Kanojo Another World, and Yuki ni Tsubasa.
