Nintendo offered similar Super Famicom-styled handheld last year

Amazon is listing a U.S. release of Nintendo's "Super NES Classic Style New 3DS XL" version of its New 3DS XL handheld gaming console. The system is styled after Nintendo's Super NES (SNES) classic gaming console, and will come with a free download of Super Mario Kart on Virtual Console. The listed release date is November 27.

Nintendo previously began taking orders for a similarly-styled New 3DS XL in Japan in April 2016, though with colors based on the Super Famicom (the SNES' Japanese counterpart). Nintendo then released the "Super NES Classic Style New 3DS XL" in Europe on October 13.

Nintendo released the SNES Classic Edition, a mini-version of the original 90s console, in the West on September 29, and the Japanese Classic Mini Super Famicom counterpart on October 5. Kadokawa's Famitsu magazine estimated that the latter is has sold 369,000 units in Japan.
