Cozy Up With the Official Laid-Back Camp Portable Grill

posted on by Lynzee Loveridge

Most wouldn't consider January "camping weather" but if Laid-Back Camp is inspiring you to discover the great outdoors in the off-season, you're going to want a portable grill, both to keep warm and keep your food warm.

Sho's Open Air Fire Studio grill is collaborating with the anime for "Rin-chan's Yakiniku Set," set for release on February 8. The mini portable grill is super compact and even folds up for easy transport. As an added bonus, its engraved back plate shows Mt. Fuji, Rin and the Laid-Back Camp logo. When a bonfire is made inside the grill, the cut-out images project out onto the ground.

The set also includes a matching canvas bag. The whole set costs 10,152 yen (US$91) and weighs about 500 grams (one pound).

The Laid-Back Camp "slow outdoor manga" follows two young women. Rin likes to go camping by herself along the lakes that provide a scenic view of Mt. Fuji. Nadeshiko loves to take cycling trips by herself to places where she can see Mt. Fuji. After they meet, Rin and Nadeshiko take camping trips, eat cup ramen together, and enjoy the scenery. Yen Press will release the first volume of the manga in March.
