M-ON! Entertainment has released the full version of the anime short “Passage of Time: Tokyo Station,” produced in conjunction with anime studio A-1 Pictures and Tokyo Station City.
The video was released to promote the 100th anniversary of Tokyo Station. A 30-second teaser trailer was released on March 26.
The anime short tells the story of a familial love that transcends time, focusing on main character Misaki's trip to Tokyo Station in order to repair a broken pocket watch belonging to her late father. Dejected after learning the watch repair shop is no longer at the station, she sees a station employee who resembles her father and chases after him on impulse.
The anime features voice actress Seiko Yoshida as Misaki, and is directed by Naomichi Yamato, with Keiichi Kondō as character designer and animation director. A musical composition by singer-songwriter Yū Sakai accompanies the entire video. The film is also available with English, Chinese and Thai subtitles.
