Sword Art Online: Lost Song Game Brings Back Philia

posted on by Egan Loo
Yui Ishikawa's treasure hunter returns as Spriggan in March 26 PS3/Vita game

This week's issue of Kadokawa's Dengeki PlayStation magazine is reporting that the game character Philia is returning in Bandai Namco Games' Sword Art Online: Lost Song for PlayStation 3 and PlayStation Vita. As voiced by Yui Ishikawa, Philia first appeared in the Hollow Area of the earlier Sword Art Online: Hollow Fragment game. In Sword Art Online: Lost Song, Philia will be a blue-haired Spriggan treasure hunter in the fantasy MMORPG ALO. (The website 0takomu also posted a panty shot from the game.)

The game will arrive in Japan on March 26. The PS3 version will cost 7,120 yen (about US$66), and the PS Vita version will cost 6,170 yen (US$57). A limited edition that includes box art by abec, an original soundtrack CD, a Blu-ray Disc with special content, a mini-clear poster, and a special booklet will cost 9,980 yen (US$92). The company is also localizing the game in English and Chinese for Asian markets.

Bandai Namco first announced the game's development at the 2014 Tokyo Game Show stage event on September 19. Reki Kawahara's Sword Art Online light novel series already inspired the Sword Art Online -Infinity Moment- and Sword Art Online -Hollow Fragment- games for the PlayStation Vita system. The light novels also inspired two television anime series.
