Tenchi Muyo! Anime Gets Free-To-Play Browser Game

The video rental service and PC game developer DMM opened a website for a new Tenchi Muyō! browser game on Tuesday. Titled Tenchi Muyō! Hanayome Ryōran (Tenchi Muyo! Bride Profusion), it will be a free-to-play game where the goal is to live with the girls from the anime and eventually marry one of them. Activities include mixed bathing and and sneaking into each other's rooms. The site hints at being able to win over the male characters as well.
The game is scheduled to go live in mid-January. Those who pre-register will receive an exclusive Sasami card in the game.
The game will draw characters from Tenchi Muyō! and Tenchi Muyo GXP. The franchise began with an OVA series in 1992, and went on to spawn numerous TV series, animated films, manga, light novels, and video games. The newest entry in the series, Ai Tenchi Muyō!, is a series of shorts that was announced last May and began airing in Tokyo MX in Japan last October.
