Crayon Shin-chan Gets Spinoff Manga About His Dad

Yōichi Tsukahara starts spinoff about Hiroshi in December

The January issue of Futabasha's Manga Town magazine will begin serializing a Crayon Shin-chan spinoff manga titled Nohara Hiroshi Hirumeshi no Ryūgi (Hiroshi Nohara's Luchtime Style) on December 5. Yōichi Tsukahara (Bet Time Blues, 7-iro Dandyism) is drawing the manga.

The spinoff will focus on Hiroshi Nohara, Shin-chan's father and the head of the Nohara family. The preview for the issue shows Hiroshi saying, "I'm a little noisy when I eat."

Manga Town is currently serializing the Shin Crayon Shin-chan (New Crayon Shin-chan) manga. Futabasha shipped the manga's fourth compiled book volume on July 8. The preview reveals that Futabasha will ship the fifth volume on December 3.

The Crayon Shin-chan franchise announced the details of its 24th film on Saturday. The Eiga Crayon Shin-chan Bakusui! Yumemi World Dai Totsugeki (Crayon Shin-chan the Movie Fast Asleep! The Large Attack on the Dreaming World) film will open in Japan on April 16.
