posted on by Rafael Antonio Pineda
Hiromi Sato, representative director of the talent management agency S, announced on singer Faylan's official website on Wednesday that Faylan will be taking a long-term hiatus due to an autoimmune disease. According to the statement, Faylan visited a doctor this month after feeling unwell, and the doctor gave her the diagnosis and advised the long-term hiatus to recuperate.
All of her planned media appearances and performances have been postponed indefinitely. Her management agency has not yet stated when she will return. All activities for her "Fay family" fan club have also been suspended.
Satō apologized to Faylan's fans and everyone involved, and thanked them for supporting her.
Faylan debuted in 2007 with her first single "Gekka no Rasen." She has gone on to perform theme songs for CANAAN, The Future Diary, Katanagatari, Mobile Suit Gundam AGE, Aesthetica of a Rogue Hero, Hakkenden: Eight Dogs of the East, BlazBlue Alter Memory, and Tokyo ESP. She has recently contributed theme songs to The Fruit of Grisaia television anime, and its sequel The Labyrinth of Grisaia.
She performed in the 2015 Ani-Song World Tour in Las Vegas last January.
