Funimation to Stream D. Gray-man, Servamp, Tales of Zestiria, Danganronpa 3, Love Live! Sunshine!!, First Love Monster, Handa-kun, Tsukiuta, Time Travel Girl, XechS, Regalia

Funimation Entertainment announced on Thursday that it will stream the D. Gray-man Hallow, Servamp, Tales of Zestiria the X, Danganronpa 3: The End of Hope's Peak High School, Love Live! Sunshine!!, First Love Monster, Handa-kun, Tsukiuta. The Animation, Time Travel Girl, Sca-red Rider XechS, Regalia: The Three Sacred Stars, and Cute High Earth Defense Club LOVE! LOVE! television anime as they air in Japan. In addition, the company will continue to stream Endride and One Piece. Funimation also revealed that it will have more simulcast titles to announce.

Most streams will be available in the United States, Canada, United Kingdom, and Ireland.

The new television anime of Katsura Hoshino's D.Gray-man manga will premiere on July 4 in Japan and will have 13 episodes.

Funimation describes the story:

From the studio behind D.Gray-man comes the highly anticipated continuation to the popular series. Allen Walker is an exorcist working for the Black Order whose mission is to protect mankind from the evil Millennium Earl and his deadly Akuma. Allen and his comrades must recover lost Innocence while defending against the Earl's terrifying army. But if they fail, Innocence will be lost forever.

Yoshiharu Ashino (Tweeny Witches, Cross Ange, First Squad) is directing the anime at TMS Entertainment, with scripts by Michiko Yokote (Shirobako, Prison School, Dagashi Kashi), Tatsuto Higuchi (My-Otome, Bakumatsu Gijinden Roman, Schwarzes Marken), and Kenichi Yamashita (Koutetsu Sangokushi, Ishida and Asakura, Actually, I Am…). Yousuke Kabashima (The Girl Who Leapt Through Space, Lord Marksman and Vanadis) is adapting the character designs for animation, and is also serving as chief animation director. Yasuhiro Moriki (Ninja Robots, Crest of the Stars, Bakuon!!) is credited for design. Kaoru Wada is returning from the previous D.Gray-Man anime to compose the music.

Servamp will premiere in Japan on July 5. The anime adapts Strike Tanaka's manga of the same name, which Seven Seas Entertainment publishes in North America.

Funimation describes the story:

Mahiru Shirota dislikes difficult things, preferring to live a simple life. But after rescuing a cat he names Kuro, life takes a turn for the complex. Kuro turns out to be a “servamp”—a servant vampire—named Sleepy Ash, and the two form a contract. Kissing his simple life goodbye, Mahiru is pulled into the world of vampires, the seven deadly Servamps, and war. Life couldn't be more complicated!

The production will reunite the main staff and studio of the Aoharu x Machinegun anime. Itto Sara, who served in a supervisory position in Aoharu x Machinegun, will now serve as chief director. Hideaki Nakano is directing the anime at Brain's Base. Kenji Konuta is in charge of series composition, and Junko Yamanaka is designing the characters for animation.

Tales of Zestiria the X will premiere in Japan on July 3. The game adaptation will also stream on Daisuki.

Funimation describes the story:

Legends speak of the Shepherd, a savior who will bring peace to the seraphim and human worlds. Sorey has spent his life studying ancient books and exploring ruins to learn more about the legendary savior. When he and his seraphim companion Mikleo encounter a mysterious girl in the ruins, the stories of the Shephard become Sorey's reality. Is he strong enough to take on the evil Lord of Calamity?

Haruo Sotozaki (Tales of Zestiria: Dōshi no Yoake, Tales of Symphonia the Animation) is directing the series at ufotable, and ufotable is also writing the script. Akira Matsushima (Tales of Symphonia the Animation, Tales of Zestiria: Dōshi no Yoake) is adapting the character designs from Mutsumi Inomata, Kousuke Fujishima, Daigo Okumura, and Minoru Iwamoto for animation, and Motoi Sakuraba and Gō Shiina are composing the music.

Danganronpa 3 -The End of Hope's Peak Academy- will have a "Future Arc" and a "Despair Arc" that will air in the same season, beginning on July 11 and July 14, respectively.

The television anime series will be the conclusion of the "Hope's Peak Academy" series' original story. The anime will premiere both its "Side: Future" and "Side: Despair" parts in July. As a result, two new Danganronpa 3 episodes will premiere every week. "Future Arc" will focus on the characters from the first game installment, while "Despair Arc" will tell the story of the characters of the Danganronpa 2: Goodbye Despair game. The anime will illustrate what happened to the characters before the events of the game.

For "Despair Arc," Kazutaka Kodaka is in charge of the original scenario concepts and overall supervision. Rui Komatsuzaki is credited with the original character designs, and Seiji Kishi is the chief director. Norimitsu Kaihō (School-Live!, Gunslinger Stratos: The Animation) is in charge of the scenario on the project, and animation studio Lerche is returning to animate the project. Kazuaki Morita and Ryoko Amisaki are designing the anime's characters. The Danganronpa Design Team is credited with the original background designs. Masafumi Takada is composing the music, and Yoshinori Terasawa is the "Otasuke Producer."

Funimation streamed the Danganronpa The Animation television anime series, based on Spike Chunsoft's PlayStation Portable/PlayStation Vita game, as the anime aired in Japan in Summer 2013. Funimation then released the series on DVD and Blu-ray last November with an English dub.

Love Live! Sunshine!! will premiere in Japan on Tokyo MX and other channels starting on July 2 at 10:30 p.m.

Nothing is more appealing than the bright, sparkling world of School Idols! The girls of Uranohoshi Girls' High School are swept into idol fever, wanting nothing more than to become the next-best School Idol group. And they plan to do just that. Chika Takami brings together eight of her classmates to form Aqours, their own idol group. As long as they don't give up, any dream can come true!

Kazuo Sakai (Mushi-Uta director, episode director for Love Live! School idol project, Gundam Build Fighters) is directing the series at Sunrise, and Jukki Hanada (all previous Love Live! School idol project anime) is handling the series composition. Yūhei Murota returned to design the characters, and Tatsuya Katou (Free! - Iwatobi Swim Club, Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma) is composing the music at Lantis.

The Love Live! Sunshine!! project was first announced in February 2015. The project's three key phrases are "Reader Participation," "Inspired by μ's," and "Seaside Town Setting." The group's name Aqours was chosen by fans by popular vote.

NIS America released the two Love Live! School Idol Project anime seasons and the film in North America. Crunchyroll streamed the television anime seasons as they aired in Japan.

First Love Monster (Hatsukoi Monster) will premiere on July 2 in Japan.

Yen Press is releasing Akira Hiyoshimaru's original manga in North America, and it describes the series:

When fifteen-year-old Kaho Nikaidou leaves her sheltered home to start life anew in a Tokyo high school dormitory, the last thing she expects is to nearly get hit by a truck! Saved in the nick of time by a handsome stranger, Kaho falls head over heels for him and, after finally tracking him down, boldly confesses her feelings. Turns out Kaho's mystery savior, Kanade, is the son of Kaho's new landlord! The handsome object of Kaho's affection agrees to go out with her, but her newfound bliss is short-lived when it turns out that her new boyfriend...is a fifth-grader?!

Takayuki Inagaki (Rosario + Vampire, Sky Wizards Academy) is directing the anime at Studio DEEN, and Mariko Oka (Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, Hell Girl) is designing the characters.

Handa-kun will premiere in Japan on July 7.

Yoshitaka Koyama (Rune Soldier, Noramimi, Kero Kero Chime) is directing the anime at diomedea, while Michiko Yokote (Shirobako, Yamada-kun and the Seven Witches, Dagashikashi) is supervising and penning the series' scripts alongside scriptwriters Mariko Kunisawa (Hatsukoi Limited, Magimoji Rurumo) and Miharu Hirami (Cookin' Idol Ai! Mai! Main!, Blue Spring Ride). Mayuko Matsumoto (Gingitsune, KanColle) is designing the characters.

The manga is a spinoff of Satsuki Yoshino's Barakamon manga. Yen Press has licensed Handa-kun and is releasing it digitally and in print. The company describes the first manga volume:

Handsome teenage calligrapher Sei Handa is worshipped by all his classmates as an aloof superstar--too bad Sei's inherent negativity makes him believe that everyone actually hates him...?! A youthful comedy of misunderstanding and melancholy unfolds in the first volume of this hilarious prequel to Barakamon!

Crunchyroll and Funimation both streamed Barakamon as it aired, and Funimation also has the home video rights to the series.

Tsukiuta. THE ANIMATION, the television anime adaptation of a music and original drama CD series about anthropomorphized months, will premiere in Japan on July 6.

Itsuro Kawasaki (Arc the Lad, Rental Magica, Sengoku Basara: Samurai Kings) is directing the series at Studio Pierrot, with scripts by Sayaka Harada (Library War, Nura: Rise of the Yokai Clan, STARMYU). Yukiko Ban (.hack//Intermezzo, .hack//SIGN, Dusk maiden of Amnesia) is adapting Jiku's original character designs for animation. Fujiwara (MOVIC) is credited as the original creator.

Tsukiuta has two versions — a male version and a female version. The male version centers around the Tokyo idol unit Six Gravity (composed of characters representing December to May) and the sibling rival unit Procellarum (composed of idols born in Western Japan and representing June to November).

Funimation describes the Time Travel Girl anime:

Mari Hayase is on a mission to go back in time and meet eight of the most prominent scientists and inventors in history. With the help of her two friends Waka Mizuki and Jun Mizuki she'll find herself up close and personal with famous figures like Benjamin Franklin, Alexander Graham Bell, Thomas Edison, and so many more! What's her purpose and mission? Hopefully not getting stuck in the past!

Osamu Yamasaki (Toward the Terra, Hakuōki) is directing the anime and supervising the series scripts.

Scared Rider XechS, the television anime of Rejet and Red Entertainment's Scared Rider Xechs romance adventure game, will premiere in Japan on July 6.

Funimation describes the story:

The Blue World, a world symbolizing reason, is under attack by fierce creatures known as the Nightfly O'Note sent from the Red World, a world symbolizing instinct. Elected to lead the Blue World, 17-year-old researcher Akira Asagi will take charge of the combat unit “IS”. These six riders, also called the Scared Rider Xechs, will fight at the Ryuukyuu LAG to protect their world and each other.

Hideto Komori is directing the anime at Satelight. StoryRiders' Naruki Nagakawa is supervising and writing the series scripts. Additionally, Jun Kumagai (Persona 3 The Movie series, Shōwa Genroku Rakugo Shinjū, Psycho-Pass 2) and Naohiro Fukushima (Eden of the East, Eureka Seven AO) are also writing the scripts. Koji Haneda is adapting the game's original character designs by pako, and is also credited as chief animation director.

Infinite's Regalia: The Three Sacred Stars original television anime will premiere on July 7 in Japan.

In the show's story, 12 years ago, in the country of Rimguard, a big incident left an unsolved mystery that has begun to fade from people's memories. Time passes, and sisters Yui and Rena are living peacefully in the Enastria Empire. However, one day, a large mecha attacks Enastria. This day marks the turning point when the two girls get caught in the vortex of fate.

Susumu Tosaka (Infinite Stratos series director) is directing the anime at Actas. Keigo Koyanagi (Go! Go! 575, Angel Beats setting production) is in charge of the series composition. QP:flapper is handling the original character design, Kimitake Nishio (Moetan, ToHeart2) is serving as the chief animation director and is adapting those designs for animation, and Kanta Suzuki (Buddy Complex) is handling the mechanical design. TRUE will perform the show's opening theme song "Divine Spell," and Minami will perform the ending theme song.

Update: Funimation's press release lists One Piece, Tsukiuta, and Regalia as exclusive to US and Canada, while Funimation's blog lists One Piece and Love Live! Sunshine!! as the only US and Canada exclusives. ANN has reached out to Funimation for clarification. Thanks, NormanicGrav.
