My Hero Academia, Black Clover, Food Wars! Event Anime Get DVD Releases

The first 2017 issue of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine is revealing on Monday that the event anime being screened during the Jump Special Anime Festa event for My Hero Academia, Black Clover, and Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma will all get DVD releases bundled with future volumes of their respective manga.
The event anime for My Hero Academia will ship on DVD with a limited edition of the 13th volume of Kōhei Horikoshi's original manga on April 4. The edition will also come with a 50-page booklet featuring Horikoshi's original storyboard for the anime, and original cards for the Boku no Hero Academia Gekitotsu! Hero Battle and Boku no Hero Academia Tag Card Game games. The anime's official website streamed a trailer for the event anime in September. The event anime's original story links the first season of the anime with the upcoming second season.
The event anime for Black Clover will ship on DVD with a limited edition of the 11th volume of Yūki Tabata's original manga on May 2. The edition will come with a specially designed cover by Tabata, and a special sticker. The anime adapts the manga's first chapter.
The event anime for Food Wars! Shokugeki no Soma will also ship on May 2, with the 24th volume of Yūto Tsukuda and Shun Saeki's original manga. The anime featured an original story, in which Soma and friends are at a hot springs resort for a day off. The DVD will also feature the bonus short video "Nakama Ryō-ban Shokugeki no Sōma: Ukiyo wa Mazui yo."
This year's Jump Special Anime Festa event first took place at Tokyo's Yomiuri Hall on November 27, and will screen at Sapporo's Sapporo Cinema Frontier, Nagoya's TOHO Cinemas Nagoya Bay City, Osaka's TOHO Cinemas Umeda Main Building and Nanba Main Building, and Fukuoka's TOHO CINEMAS Tenjin Main Building on December 4.
