Tiga Lancar Licenses Attempt Kiss More Than a Friend Manga

Indonesian publisher Tiga Lancar revealed last week that it has licensed Yumi Shimabukuro's Attempt Kiss More Than a Friend (Tomodachi Ijō Kiss Misui) manga.
The short manga centers on Mao, a girl who has just entered high school. It has been one year since she last saw her best friend Sōma. The last time they had met each other, Mao gave Sōma a hand-knit scarf for his birthday. Sōma thought that it was a confession of love and tried to kiss her, but Mao pushed him away, saying they were just friends. Mao meets Sōma again in her new high school, and discovers that Sōma is willing to revive their friendship, even though Mao notices that Sōma fools around with a lot of girls.
Shimabukuro launched the manga in Shogakukan's Sho-Comi magazine in 2015 with three chapters. The manga is her debut work. The compiled book volume that Shogakukan published last year contains the entire manga, two one-shot manga "Onii-chan to Mitsutsu Kataomoi Rule" (Big Brother and the Rule of Three Unrequited Loves) and "Ringo Hoppe wa Kimi no Sei" (These Cheeks Are Apple Red Because of You), and side-stories for both one-shots.
