Madhouse Makes August Anime Film Kimi no Koe o Todoketai

Suzuko Mimori and NOW ON AIR, the new voice actress unit formed from winners of the "Kimikoe Project" audition last August, are starring in an original anime film called Kimi no Koe o Todoketai (I Want to Send Your Voice) this August. The film depicts the adolescence of a high school girl in Shōnan, a bayside area of Kanagawa Prefecture south of Tokyo.

The story depicts of the worries, conflicts, and dreams of a high school girl in Shōnan. Nagisa, a girl who is a little impatient because she cannot find her future calling, wanders into a mini FM radio station that has been disused for several years. On impulse, she tries to become a DJ, and her broadcasted words by chance unexpectedly reaches people.

Naoyuki Itou (Overlord, Eiga Dokidoki! Precure Mana Kekkon!!? Mirai ni Tsunagu Kibō no Dress, 2002's Kanon, Digimon: Data Squad, Iriya no Sora, UFO no Natsu) is directing at the studio Madhouse (Summer Wars, Chihayafuru, One-Punch Man), and Manabu Ishikawa (Welcome to Irabu's Office, Yozakura Quartet ~Hoshi no Umi~, Yozakura Quartet ~Hana no Uta~) wrote the script. Manga creator and illustrator Toshinao Aoki (Futari de Okawari, Kurumi no Ki, Rail of Life) designed the characters, and Aya Takano adapted the designs for animation. Akito Matsuda composed the music, and Tohokushinsha Films is producing.
Mina Katahira plays the main lead Nagisa. The other members of NOW ON AIR are Misako Iino, Momone Iwabuchi, Mitsuho Kambe, Hitomi Suzuki, and Yuki Tanaka.
