It is the first single in the franchise to top the ranking. The "Tōken Ranbu" single by the "Tōken Danshi team Sanjō with Kashūkiyomitsu" group previously reached #2 in January 2016. "Shōri no Gaika" (Victory Song) originates from Tōken Ranbu Mihotose no Komoriuta, the franchise's third stage musical, which ran from March to April in Japan.

The second musical, Tōken Ranbu - Bakumatsu Tenrōden, ran from September to October last year, with a final performance in Tokyo in November. The first musical ran from last May to June. The franchise is getting a fourth musical that will run from this November to January.

The Tōken Ranbu "sword personification training game" takes famous swords from Japanese history and interprets them as bishōnen. Nitroplus designed the characters and scenario. The game launched in Japan in 2015, and it has more than 1.5 million users. The game has acquired a large female fanbase and inspired a wide range of merchandise, the Tōken Ranbu: Hanamaru and Katsugeki! Tōken Ranbu anime, and several manga.

The franchise is also inspiring a separate series of stage plays. The fourth stage play will run from December 15-29.
