Kadokawa is listing the 10th novel volume of Nagawasabi64 and Kawaku's The Unimplemented Overlords Have Joined the Party! (Mijissō no Last Boss-tachi ga Nakama ni Narimashita) light novel series as the final volume. The 10th volume will ship on August 29.

Yen Press is releasing the novel series in English, and it describes the story:

Young gamer Shuutarou is among the lucky few chosen to playtest Eternity, the latest VRMMORPG, and he wastes no time in activating his unique Create Dungeon skill…at the exact moment the game glitches! Now he and his fellow playtesters are trapped, and their lives are at stake. Shuutarou happens to end up in the one area that has yet to be patched into the game: the final-boss lair where the six Evil Overlords lurk. They promptly declare him their master― and with Eternity's strongest baddies on his team, Shuutarou is up for any adventures this new life throws at him!

Nagawasabi serialized the story in the Shōsetsuka ni Narō website from March 2020 to October 2022. Kadokawa released the first print volume of the story with illustrations by Kawaku in November 2020.

Tomo Hirokawa launched a manga adaptation of the novels in Kadokawa's Comic Walker website in November 2021. Kadokawa published the manga's fifth compiled book volume in October 2024, and will publish the sixth volume on July 26.
