Voltron: Legendary Defender Animated Series to End This Year With Season 8

The staff of DreamWorks' Voltron: Legendary Defender animated series announced at Comic-Con International: San Diego on Friday that the series will end with the eighth season. The season will have 13 episodes and it will premiere before the end of the year.
The 13-episode seventh season will premiere on August 10. Show runner Lauren Montgomery said that Shiro's significant other Adam will appear in the season.
The show's 11-episode first season premiered on Netflix in June 2016. The 13-episode second season then premiered in January 2017, followed by the seven-episode third season on August 4, the six-episode fourth season on October 13, the six-episode fifth season on March 2, and the seven-episode sixth season on June 15.
Studio Mir (The Legend of Korra) animated the first season. Joaquim Dos Santos, Lauren Montgomery, and Tim Hedrick all worked together on Avatar the Last Airbender and The Legend of Korra.
