Showtaro Morikubo Leaves VIMS Agency, Founds New Talent Agency

Voice actor and singer Showtaro Morikubo announced on August 31 that he has resigned from the talent management agency VIMS and founded the talent management agency "Add 9th" on September 1.
Morikubo stated that he has been with VIMS for 17 years, and he is grateful to the company for what he learned in his time there, but that he wanted to start again with a new agency, and that he is exiting from VIMS without dissatisfaction or complaint.
VIMS will shut down Morikubo's official Twitter account with the company on September 30. Add 9th launched a new Twitter account for the actor on August 31. The actor still maintains his personal Twitter account.
Morikubo has performed theme songs for anime such as The Prince of Tennis, Utano☆Princesama Revolutions, Starmyu, and Yowamushi Pedal. His anime voice roles include Naruto's Shikamaru Nara, Hakuōki's Sōji Okita, Cardfight!! Vanguard's Taishi Miwa, Persona 4: The Animation's Yōsuke Hanamura, One Piece's Bartolomeo, Love Stage!!'s Kojirō, and Yowamushi Pedal's Yūsuke. Morikubo has also voiced characters and provided theme songs in several installments of the Rockman (Megaman) video game and anime franchise.
