Hisato Murasaki's manga debuts in English in winter 2020

Viz Media announced on Wednesday that it has licensed Hisato Murasaki's Persona 5 manga and will release the first volume in winter 2020.

The manga adapts Atlus' Persona 5 game. Murasaki launched the manga on Shogakukan's Manga ONE app and Ura Sunday website in September 2016. Shogakukan published the manga's fourth compiled book volume on September 19, and the fifth volume will ship on May 10.

Atlus released the Persona 5 game for the PlayStation 3 and PlayStation 4 in September 2016, and it launched worldwide in April 2017.

Rokuro Saitō launched the separate Persona 5 Memento Mission manga in Kadokawa's Dengeki Maoh magazine in October. Saitō also worked on the P4U2: Persona 4: The Ultimax Ultra Suplex Hold manga that concluded in April 2018.

The 26-episode television anime adaptation of the game premiered in April 2018. Aniplex of America streamed the series on Crunchyroll and Hulu as it aired. The first anime special, PERSONA 5 the Animation: Dark Sun, debuted on December 30, and the second special, PERSONA 5 the Animation: Stars and Ours, aired on March 23. The anime's 11th home video release, which will ship on May 29, will include both PERSONA 5 the Animation: Dark Sun and an unaired episode.
