This year's combined 22nd and 23rd issues of Shueisha's Weekly Shonen Jump magazine revealed on Saturday that the magazine will launch for new manga in the next four issues.
The magazine confirmed that the Samurai 8: The Tale of Hachimaru (Samurai 8: Hachimaruden) manga by Naruto manga creator Masashi Kishimoto and manga artist Akira Ōkubo will officially debut in the magazine's 24th issue on May 13. The manga will be the first new serialization in the magazine in the new Reiwa era. A four-page "preview" of the manga debuted in the combined 22nd and 23rd issues on Saturday, and Viz Media published the preview. Viz Media will also publish the main manga digitally in English. The manga's first full chapter will have 72 pages.
The other three new serializations include:
Kentarō Fukuda's Futari no Taisei in issue 25 on May 20
Kento Terasaka's Beast Children in issue 26 on May 27
Yūki Tanaka and Kento Matsūra's Tokyo Shinobi Squad in issue 27 on June 3
Kentarō Fukuda previously published the two-volume Devilyman manga in Weekly Shonen Jump in 2015. Viz Media published the first three chapters in English simultaneously with its Japanese release as part of the company's Jump Start initiative.
