Netflix announced on Wednesday that it will debut the second television anime season based on Sōichirō Yamamoto's Teasing Master Takagi-san (Karakai Jōzu no Takagi-san 2) manga on December 6.
The second season premiered in Japan on July 7.
Director Hiroaki Akagi returned from the first season to helm the second season at Shinei Animation. Shin'ya Une served as assistant director, and Kanichi Katou (Black Clover, Idol Time PriPara), Aki Itami (Flowers of Evil, The Comic Artist and His Assistants), and Hiroko Fukuda (Amanchu! Advance, Uchi no Oochopus) were the new writers. Aya Takano returned to design the characters with sub-character designers Takuji Mogi and Natsuko Kondou. Mogi and Kondou also reprised their chief animation director roles, but were joined this season by Takehiro Suwa and Takano. Hiroaki Tsutsumi also returned to compose the music.
Rie Takahashi and Yūki Kaji reprised their roles as Takagi-san and Nishikata, respectively.
The first television anime premiered within the "Anime no Me" programming block in January 2018, and it also adapted Yamamoto's Ashita wa Doyōbi manga as segments within the show. Crunchyroll streamed the anime as it aired in Japan, and Funimation streamed the series with an English dub.
Yen Press is releasing the manga in English.
