Muse Malaysia Adds And you thought there is never a girl online? Anime

12-episode anime premiered in April 2016

Muse Malaysia announced on Saturday that it has added the anime adaptation of Shibai Kineko's And you thought there is never a girl online? (Netoge no Yome wa Onna no ko ja Nai to Omotta?) novels. The company added the first episode on its YouTube channel on Sunday, with two new episodes every following day at 8:30 p.m. and 9:00 p.m. GMT +8.

The story centers on Hideki Nishimura, a young man who confessed to a person he thought was a girl online, only for that person to turn out to be a boy. He keeps this "black history" secret and swears to never to trust a "girl" online again. However, one day a girl online confesses to him, and it turns out she's actually a beautiful girl named Ako Tamaki. Ako cannot tell the difference between the online world and reality, and she is a loner who has trouble communicating. Hideki and his friends from his guild decide to work together to "correct" her.

The 12-episode anime premiered in April 2016.

The anime adapts Shibai Kineko and Hisashi's original light novel series of the same name. Shinsuke Yanagi (Ro-Kyu-Bu! SS, Momo Kyun Sword) directed the anime at project No.9, and Tatsuya Takahashi (The IDOLM@STER Cinderella Girls, Atelier Escha & Logy: Alchemists of the Dusk Sky) was in charge of series composition. The five-member idol group Luce Twinkle Wink☆ performed the opening theme song "1st Love Story."
