Satoshi Kon's Christmas-themed film will be shown at BFI IMAX near Waterloo, on Saturday December 7 at 1 p.m.

The hosts of the Ghibliotheque podcast, Michael Leader and Jake Cunningham, will present an IMAX screening of Satoshi Kon's film Tokyo Godfathers in December .

The BFI IMAX cinema in London, near Waterloo station, will screen Tokyo Godfathers at 1 p.m. on Saturday December 7.

The film was released in 2003. It is described on the BFI IMAX website as follows:

"It's Christmas Eve and three homeless people find an abandoned baby while searching through a bin. They agree to find her parents but face countless obstacles, not least a hitman and his wife. Estranged from their loved ones and forced to confront the events that resulted in their living on the streets, the trio decide to form their own pseudo-family. Satoshi Kon's breathlessly inventive anime comedy-drama is a sight to behold."
