On Monday August 18, Crunchyroll will release a Blu-ray edition of the 12-part series Re:Monster.

Seven Seas, which published the manga adaptation, describes the manga's story:

Tomokui Kanata has suffered an early death, but his adventures are far from over. He is reborn into a fantastical world of swords and magic-- as a lowly goblin! Not content to let this stop him, the now renamed “Rou” uses his new physical abilities and his old memories to plow ahead in a world where consuming other creatures allows him to acquire their strengths and powers.

Takayuki Inagaki (Birdie Wing -Golf Girls' Story-, Chio's School Road) directed the anime at Studio DEEN. GENCO produced the anime. Hiroshi Yamaguchi (To Heart, Comic Party, ToHeart2) was in charge of series composition. Junichi Takaoka (Gravion) designed the characters. Go Sakabe composed the music. Norito Kondo was the director of photography.

Chansung, a member of South Korean boy band 2PM, and Japanese hip-hop artist AK-69 collaborated to produce the opening theme song "Into the Fire," with vocals by 2AM boy band member Lee Changmin. Rock vocal duo EverdreaM performed the anime's ending theme song titled "Sadame" (written as "Unmei" or Fate).

Kanekiru initially posted the story on the Shōsetsu ni Narō website. Yamaada illustrates the novels. AlphaPolis serialised Haruyoshi Kobayakawa's ongoing manga adaptation monthly on its website.

MVM will release a new Collector's Steelbook Blu-ray edition of Satoshi Kon's 2004 series Paranoia Agent. MVM describes the story:

"Explore a contagious madness in the first fully uncut TV show directed by Satoshi Kon, the visionary director behind Perfect Blue, Millennium Actress and Tokyo Godfathers!

"Then darkness overcomes the heart and Lil' Slugger appears... After the first victim's story the police felt the overly stressed woman was having a breakdown and liedi o cover up for some crime. However, after the third and fourth attacks upon unrelated victims led to the same description of a young attacker with a golden baseball bat and in-line skates, the police had to wonder: is the Lil' Slugger real or a sinister phantom?"
