Japanese Animation TV Ranking, August 11-17

Grave of the Fireflies earns 7.2.% rating, Demon Slayer: Hashira Training Arc compilation earns 3.2% rating

Studio Ghibli and Isao Takahata's Grave of the Fireflies film aired on NTV on Friday, August 15 at 9:00 p.m. and it earned a 7.2% rating.

An episode of Anpan, the newest entry in NHK's six-decade-long Renzoku Terebi Shōsetsu (Serialized TV Novel, also known as "Asadora" or Morning Drama) franchise, aired on Thursday, August 14 at 8:00 a.m. and earned a 17.3% rating. A separate episode aired on Thursday, August 14 at 12:45 p.m. and earned 6.2% rating, and on Friday, August 15 at 12:45 p.m. and earned a 6.0% rating.

The new live-action weekday morning series is inspired by the life story of Anpanman manga creator Takashi Yanase and his wife Nobuo Komatsu.
