Hulu Adds Gintama Anime Seasons 2-3 With English Dub

Hulu is now streaming the second and third seasons of the Gintama television anime series with an English dub.
The streamer added the first season of the anime with English subtitles and an English dub in December 2019. The first season is currently still on the service with an English dub.
Crunchyroll announced in July 2016 that it would dub and release anime, including Gintama, on Blu-ray Disc on DVD. Crunchyroll and Funimation released episodes 266-316 on Blu-ray Disc and DVD in 2018.
Sentai Filmworks released the anime's first 49 episodes on DVD in 2010 and 2011. That release did not include an English dub.
The anime adaptation of GINTAMA - Mr. Ginpachi's Zany Class (3-Nen Z-Gumi Ginpachi-Sensei), Tomohito Ōsaki's spinoff novel series began streaming on Los Angeles-based Web3 anime-styled brand Azuki's Anime.com platform on Monday. The platform will stream the anime for free every week with watch parties for each episode.
The new compilation film Shin-Gekijōban Gintama: Yoshiwara Daienjō (Gintama New Film Version: Yoshiwara in Flames) adapting the Yoshiwara in Flames arc of the series will debut in 2026.
The compilations are part of the Gintama franchise's 20th anniversary celebration, with 2023 being the 20th anniversary of Hideaki Sorachi's Gintama manga debuting, and 2026 being the 20th anniversary of the television anime's premiere. The Yorinuki Gintama-san rerun of the television anime also spawned two "on Theater 2D" compilations in 2012 and 2013.
Hideaki Sorachi's original "science-fiction period-drama comedy" manga began in 2003 and ended in June 2019 with over 55 million copies in circulation. The manga has inspired several television anime series with 367 total episodes, as well as three previous anime films. The latest anime series premiered in July 2018. The manga has also inspired various original video anime (OVA), event anime, two live-action films, and two live-action net spinoffs. Viz Media published the manga's first 23 volumes in English.
