In 1991, frequent Gundam contributor Hiroko Moriguchi performed the theme song "Eternal Wind ~ Hohoemi wa Hikaru Kaze no Naka (Smile in the Shining Wind)," for the 1991 anime film Mobile Suit Gundam F91. About 34 years later, Moriguchi provides an "answer song" titled "Eternal Days ~Anata ni Ite Yokatta~" (I'm Glad You're Here). The new song's lyrics resonates with the film's aftermath, and it even includes the title of the film's theme song, which the original did not feature.

Moriguchi debuted the song digitally on October 17. The song will be part of her 40th anniversary album Your Flower ~Uta no Hanataba wo~, which is slated for release on December 3. The album will also feature an a capella version of Gundam F91's theme song. She is also going on a 40th anniversary tour starting on December 20 in Hiroshima.

Moriguchi previously performed theme songs for Mobile Suit Gundam: Cucuruz Doan's Island, Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, Ronin Warriors, Aim For The Best!, and One-Punch Man, among others.

The Mobile Suit Gundam F91 anime film debuted in Japan in March 1991. The movie got home video releases from Bandai and then Right Stuf. The anime has inspired several prequel manga.
