Fullmetal Alchemist TCG: A Hero's Passing expansion set

CHARLOTTE, NC (March 10, 2006) - Building on the success of its earlier Fullmetal Alchemist(tm) TCG sets, JoyRide Entertainment released several details today regarding its next expansion set, A Hero's Passing, scheduled for release May 10. In addition to a base set of 140 cards - the largest so far for a Fullmetal Alchemist(tm) TCG expansion set - JoyRide will include a number of features that are sure to please collectors and players alike!

First of all, each pack of A Hero's Passing will include a reprint card, printed on the FMA TCG chase-card template. There will be 60 of these cards total, 48 foils inserted in booster packs, and three in each of four starter decks. Each booster pack will contain one of these 48 collectible cards, which represent some of the most popular cards in the game, voted on by fans of the game on the FMA TCG web site.

But the most eye-catching new element of the set is the voice actor autograph cards. These cards are reprints of popular FMA TCG cards from previous sets printed on a special chase template, foiled, and personally signed by the Fullmetal Alchemist(tm) voice actors whose characters appear on the cards. The four cards are Edward Elric, Researcher (signed by Vic Mignogna); Lust, Cloaked Stranger (Laura Bailey); Scar, Cold Hearted (Dameon Clarke); and Maes Hughes, Dedicated Soldier (Sonny Strait). These autograph cards will be inserted in one out of about every 200 packs of A Hero's Passing, making them some of the most sought-after cards in the game!

In addition to these new features, FMA TCG fans can expect more of the same things that made previous sets great: chase cards, plastic transmutated cards, and two new mechanics: Augment and Stealth. There will also be a new round of Pre-Release tournaments the weekend of April 28-30, and, just as with the Premier Edition Pre-Releases, JoyRide staffers will travel to select card shops around the country to promote and play in tournaments over the weekend!

A Hero's Passing is shaping up to be the best Fullmetal Alchemist TCG set so far. With autograph cards, chase reprints in every pack, more chases and transmutes, employee visits, and new mechanics, there's a lot to love. You don't want to pass this one up!
