Madman Releases Ergo Proxy

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

ERGO PROXY

Sci-Fi from the creators of Samurai Champloo! Ergo Proxy, available on DVD March '07 from Madman.

MELBOURNE, Tuesday, 20 February 2007 – In a seemingly idyllic future, one detective will learn that there is no such thing as perfection…

Ergo Proxy takes place in an impenetrable would-be utopian ‘dome city’, where humans and robots coexist and everything is under complete government control. While working on a mysterious murder case, Rel Mayer, a female detective under the employ of the Civilian Intelligence Office, receives an anonymous foreboding message. That night, she is attacked by a deformed super-being. What was this monster and who was the figure that came between them? Eventually, this spiralling mystery will lead Rel to the outside world and into the unknown.

In the tradition of Ghost in the Shell, Ergo Proxy is a spectacular new sci-fi thriller from some of the biggest names in anime today, featuring production by manglobe (Samurai Champloo) direction from Murase Shukou (Witch Hunter Robin) and a screenplay by Dai Sato (Eureka Seven).

Ergo Proxy's End Theme is ‘Paranoid Android’ by Radiohead.

Ergo Proxy V1 will also be available to purchase with a limited edition collector's box to store all upcoming volumes.
