One hell of a plot twist to this one. Half-way through, it's revealed it was spoiler[Matrix all along.]. But I doubt the anime will ever get that far, so anime-only viewers likely have to contend with your usual run-of-the-mill fantasy spoiler[revealed to be anything but].

The development happens in volume 9(of the manga). Unless they do some heavy editing magic, make it double cour, or speedrun almost 1 volume per episode, we won't see any of that in the anime... |
