Anime Weekend Atlanta 14 Announces Finalized Guest & Event List (Revised and Corrected)

Anime Weekend Atlanta provided the following revised and corrected version of its press release:


AUGUST 30, 2008 - ATLANTA, GA - Anime Weekend Atlanta 14 is pleased to announce its final slate of guests for this yearís activities which will take place September 19-21 at the. Voice actor Illich Guardiola (Vexille, Appleseed Ex Maachina) willl be making his first appearance at AWA alongside fellow actors Peter Fernandez and Corinne Orr (Speed Racer, Adventures of the Galaxy Raangers), Vic Mignona (Ouran High School Host Club), Travis Willingham (Fullmetal Alchemist), Monica Rial (Burst Angel), Rikki Simons (Invader Zim) and Amy Howard-Wilson (Star Blazers).

AWA will also present musical performances by j-music bands Tsu Shi Ma Mi Re, The Captains, and The Emeralds; there will also be a special event hosted by PEELANDER-Z.

Artists of the digital and printed comic industries will be on hand as well, including Jennie Breeden (The Devilís Panties), Camilla díErrico (Burn), Fred Perry (Gold Digger), Robert and Emily Dejesus (Studio Capsule), and Tavisha Wolfgarth-Simons (ShutterBox). In addition, cosplay panelists Yaya Han, Limebarb, Ashley Clark & PikaBelleChu will be on hand to display their works.

Anime Weekend Atlanta 14 will present various panels about the anime industry from experts such as Patrick Macias (Otaku USA editor in chief), Carl Gustav Horn (Dark Horse Comics manga editor), Jonathan Tarbox (Arashi Productions), Toshifumi Yoshida (Bandai Entertainment producer), David L. Williams (ADV Films producer) and translator Neil Nadelman. FUNimation Entertainment will present to screen upcoming releases such as ìOuran High School Host Clubî and ìClaymore.î Also, Bandai Entertainment has just confirmed they will be screening their new samurai anime film "Sword of the Stranger".

Anime Weekend Atlanta (AWA) is a three-day Japanese Animation and comics convention held annually in Atlanta, Georgia. AWA 14 will be held September 19 - 21 2008, at the Renaissance Waverly Hotel and Cobb Galleria Centre in Atlanta, Georgia.

AWA 14 has a wide variety of events including video room showings of Japanese cartoons ranging from new releases to titles going back to the 1960's, a dealer's room with retailers who sell Japanese animation and manga related merchandise such as toys, videos, audio CD's and artwork, workshops and panel discussions on various topics including the current trends in Japan and how they will affect the United States.

New events added to AWA this year includes the AWA Maid CafÈ, and SuperHappyFunSell, the AWA Thursday evening swap meet.

In addition to our annual events for attendee participation such as Video Art Track (Anime Music Video) Contests, Costume Contests, as well as tabletop and video gaming tournaments, there will also be other programs such as:
