Houston, TX – Oct. 6, 2010– Comicpalooza, the fastest-growing comic & sci-fi convention in Texas, is expanding its guest list and programming to serve fans of anime. FUNimation has been added to Comicpalooza's eclectic list of sponsors for its 2011 convention, which will be held May 27-29. FUNimation will contribute licensed anime from its extensive list of popular anime titles for screenings at the convention.

Comicpalooza has also signed its first anime guest, Samantha Inoue-Harte, who is also known as the zombie queen of Austin, Texas. Samantha is a producer, animator, director, actress, and makeup FX artist who has worked in the film industry since 1997. She has worked on Sin City, Office Space, Planet Terror, Beatdown, Machete, Idiocracy, National Lampoon's the Stoned Age, Teeth, and several others. Her voice can be heard in over 40 different animated titles including: Samurai X, New Fist of the North Star, Trinity Blood, Negima, Final Fantasy: Unlimited as the Chōcobo, Gatchaman, Sakura Wars, Sonic the Hedgehog: The Movie, Getter Robo, MazinKaiser, Tekken: The Motion Picture, Nadia - Secret of Blue Water, and many more for FUNimation Entertainment, A.D.
