SacAnime Summer 2013 Welcomes Sword Art Online Voice Actors Cherami Leigh and Bryce Papenbrook
SACRAMENTO, CA – April 24, 2013 – SacAnime, Northern California's largest anime convention, is proud to welcome the English voices of Sword Art Online's , Asuna and Kirito, Cherami Leigh and Bryce Papenbrook to its summer 2013 show.
The three-day event will be held on August 30 – September 1, 2013 at the Sacramento Convention Center and Sheraton Grand Hotel.
Cherami Leigh began her work in the "Anime World" voicing Sae in "Peach Girl", and has since played Aisa, Pepper, and Miss Golden Week in "One Piece," Yaz in "Shin-chan," Primula in "Shuffle!," Setsuna and Akira in "Negima!?," Naomi in "Witchblade," Himawari! in "xxxHOLiC," Makoto in "Sasami: Magical Girls Club," Mai in "Ghost Hunt," Ayano in "Stigma," Road in "D.Gray-man," Shijima in "Nabari," Shinooka in "Big Windup!," Honoka in "Kenichi," Kirimi in "Ouran Host Club," and recently released "Bamboo Blade" as Tamaki, "Sergeant Frog" as Natsumi, "Soul Eater" as Patty and “Sword Art Online” as Asuna. She has voiced many video games including Lux Pain as Nami and Gauge from Boarderlands 2.
Bryce Papenbrook has performed in numerous video games, cartoons, and television shows. Some recent roles include Kirito in Sword Art Online, Rin Okumura in Blue Exorcist, Henry in Fire Emblem Awakening, Asbel Lhant in Tales of Graces F, Zidane Tribal in Final Fantasy Dissidia 012, Masaomi Kida in Durarara!!, and Guan Ping in Dynasty Warriors. Past leading roles include Shugo in .hack//SIGN Legend of the Twilight, Jack in MAR, Jack Russell in Radiata Stories, Hanabusa Aido in Vampire Knight, and Isami Fujiwara in Noein.
ABOUT SACANIME: With a bi-annual attendance of close to 10,000 dedicated fans, SacAnime is a celebration of Japanese influenced pop-Culture Entertainment featuring celebrity guests, live music, video games, costuming, karaoke, maid cafe and much more.
SacAnime is being held at the Sacramento Convention Center and Sheraton Grand Hotel on Friday, Saturday and Sunday August 30th, 31st and September 1st, 2013. The event is open to the public and runs from 10am - 2am Friday and Saturday and 10am - 6pm Sunday. There is an admission charge at the door (Friday only: $25; Saturday only: $35; Sunday only: $20; All Weekend: $40; Children under 8 are free). Weekend Pre-Registration is $30 until May 1st.
Scheduled guests include Cherami Leigh, Bryce Papenbrook, Nolan North, Charles Martinet, Troy Baker, Johnny Yong Bosch and Eyeshine, J. Michael Tatum, Tsuyoshi Nonaka, Billy Martinez and Akai SKY.
