Anime USA 2018 is Proud to Announce Their Music Lineup

Friday October 19th-Sunday October 21st at the Marriott Wardman Park.

The Sound Bee HD

Coming from Japan straight to Anime USA, THE SOUND BEE HD! This will be their east coast return and their first time performing in the US with guitarist Yuu!

THE SOUND BEE HD was formed by DaISUKE DARK SIDE, formerly of Media Youth. They are a type of “one and only” band that is different from typical visual kei, due not only to the formation of their members but also their unique sound and stage performance. In October of 2014, ex Lix guitarist, Yuu, joined the band and under the umbrella of Starwave records released several albums including; DAWN OF THE DEAD, BLooD RaiN, WALKING DEAD, and ENDLESS DEAD. The appeal of their music is their sad melodies with aggressive and heavy sounds, and the occasional ballad song which often impresses people hearing THE SOUND BEE HD's music for the first time.

Mighty Mike Saga

At the age of 11, DJ Mighty Mike Saga heard ‘Rigor Mortis’ by A Split Second. Little did he know that a song he heard on a local college radio station would change his perspective on music forever. Electronic music became a driving force in his life. From the raves and clubs he religiously attended in his teens to the parties he promoted and organized in his 20's, the love of music and the need to share that love with anyone who would listen, led to his inevitable career as a DJ.

DJ Mighty Mike Saga started out as an 80's DJ playing and collecting 80's vinyl. He opened up at raves, played at house parties and eventually was invited to Philadelphia's Gothic/ Industrial event, SHOCK THERAPY. Expanding his horizons, he began collecting a variety of electronic music and taught himself the art of beat matching. He mixed these forms of music into his sets and became a resident DJ at SHOCK THERAPY. With the freedom to express himself creatively, he began organizing events fusing EDM and Gothic/ Industrial music. After introducing many new fans to Gothic/ Industrial music at FULL MOON GATHERING and C.H.U.D., he performed at DRACULA'S BALL and played weekly at NOCTURNE. DJ Saga is featured at SMACK! and BYTE parties in New York and played the BLACK SUN FESTIVAL II in Connecticut. The biggest highlight of his career has been playing at the world's largest Gothic/ Industrial event, WAVE GOTIK TREFFEN in Leipzig, Germany.

As a DJ, he loves what he does and is completely self-promoted. He's living his dream of opening minds and bringing the music he loves to the masses!

DJ Speed Demon

With over 20 years of rocking crowds from coast to coast and overseas, Speed Demon is no stranger to Anime USA. He has performed multiple times in the past and he's back to set the dance floor ablaze with irresistible grooves to keep your cardio energy going strong!

Jay Nak

Jay has been entertaining for 15 years playing tunes and making dancers happy at the convention scene. His first foray into performance started the longtime event "Cosplay Dance Off", which has been running strong at AnimeUSA, Katsucon, Magfest, Escape Velocity, AMA, NYAF, and other conventions.

Jay has previously performed as a DJ at the Katsucon rave and is a Katsucon lounge DJ. Escape Velocity also claims him as one of their own, organizing and performing for their Space Party and Dance party, as well as curating parts of their programming tracks.

When Jay isn't playing tunes, he likes to build fantastic creations! He currently is professionally tied to his wife, Barb, as co-collaborators for commissioned costume and replica makers with MabieKnot Cosplay and Designs.
