DerpyCon Pre-Registration & Panel Applications are Now Open
NEW BRUNSWICK, NJ – DerpyCon is excited to welcome attendees back to New Jersey's Anime, Gaming, Sci-Fi, & Comic Convention, occurring this October 29th-31st, 2021 at the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick in New Brunswick, New Jersey. First started in 2014, DerpyCon has been bringing the New Jersey area convention feels with activities, guests, games, and much more, all within a family-friendly atmosphere. Today, DerpyCon makes its first move to opening its doors once again by opening pre-registration and panel applications for its upcoming 2021 convention.
This year's event will be DerpyCon's first in New Brunswick, after having called Morristown, New Jersey home since 2014. DerpyCon looks to expand the number of activities and content it can bring to attendees at its new venue, which offers more event space and modern hotel rooms that were previously unavailable at the prior location. Additionally, the Hyatt Regency New Brunswick offers unprecedented access to downtown New Brunswick, one of New Jersey's best downtown environments for food and nightlife. The convention was previously slated to move to New Brunswick in 2020, but the COVID-19 pandemic forced DerpyCon to postpone its in-person convention back a year and hold an online convention in its place.
DerpyCon pre-registration will continue from now through the day before the convention, with additional badges available at the door. Weekend badges are currently available at a reduced price of $45, Friday badges at $25, Saturday badges at $25, and Sunday badges at $20. Badge prices will go up after June 30th. Discounts are available for youth, students, military, seniors, and groups.
Panel applications are also available, with applications open through August 20th, 2021. All panelists are invited to submit their ideas for panels and workshops. DerpyCon 2021 will offer panelists the opportunity to present panels either in-person or online.
