Japanese Rock Band I Don't Like Mondays. Follow Triumphant Set at BUBBLEPOP in Barcelona, Spain, with July 12 Release of New Song ‘Summer Ghost’
Japanese rock band I Don't Like Mondays. have just completed a spectacular performance at BUBBLEPOP in Barcelona, Spain – the first edition of a new festival focused on introducing art and music from Asia. Performing in front of 3,000 excited fans on the second day of the festival, the band played 10 songs in their one-hour set, including their ‘ONE PIECE’ anime theme song ‘PAINT’. This was their first ever performance in Spain, and it ended in triumph.
Following their set, I Don't Like Mondays. vocalist YU ran into Japanese band ONE OK ROCK members TAKA and TORU, who were performing in Barcelona as part of their European tour. When YU posted a photo of the three of them on his Instagram account, the response from fans was immense.
The BUBBLEPOP show was part of the band's 2023 WORLD TOUR, which includes performances at festivals around the world. For the second leg of the tour, they will perform at a festival held in Macau on September 16 and 17, which will be followed by concerts in other countries too. Since their debut, I Don't Like Mondays. have been quick to reflect global trends in their music, so it will be exciting to see which global cities the band will rock next.
As they continue with their global activity, I Don't Like Mondays. have released a new single, the mid-summer driving tune ‘Summer Ghost’, on July 12.
