Undead Murder Farce Soundtrack by yuma yamaguchi Out Today
NEW YORK, NY (July 28, 2023) – Milan Records today releases UNDEAD MURDER FARCE (ORIGINAL SERIES SOUNDTRACK) with music by composer Yuma Yamaguchi. Available everywhere now, the album features an original score written by yamaguchi for the new fantasy anime series. Based on the novel series by Yugo Aosaki, Undead Murder Farce debuted its first season earlier this month and is available to stream now on Crunchyroll.
Of the project, composer Yuma Yamaguchi says, “I'm honored to be part of the anime, Undead Murder Farce. When I first met with the director of the anime and audiography to discuss what type of music they were looking for from the soundtrack, they emphasized that they were looking for darker and heavier music. However, besides this request, I was given complete freedom over the composition for the soundtrack. This allowed me to really expand and take many different approaches all within the same soundtrack. I was able to cross over from typical orchestra pieces, and also include jazz, minimal, post-classical, IDM and ethnic choral music. I feel I built a really dense sound track where every song can stand alone, and as a whole it is rich with different textures, genres and influences. I really hope you enjoy listening, thank you!”
ABOUT UNDEAD MURDER FARCE
In this world, creatures like vampires and werewolves still walk about, but Aya Rindo can't say the same for herself. This beautiful disembodied head, carried by her maid Shizuku Hasei, is a detective in search of her stolen body. One evening, they meet half-human Oni Slayer Tsugaru Shunichi, who offers a lending hand. Now, the trio is traveling through Europe, solving mysteries along the way.

ABOUT YUMA YAMAGUCHI
Yuma Yamaguchi is known as a composer for movies, dramas, animation, and commercials in Japan. He started his career at IRMA Records in 2008, and his first album "Sound Multiply" was selected as iTunes 2008 best dance album in Japan. From 2016, he has an exclusive contract with YUGE inc. which is a music production company specialized in soundtracks and advertisement music in Japan. He has been writing music for more than 300 campaigns including many globally known companies such as Google, Microsoft, Toyota, Coca Cola, McDonald, and BOSE. Some of his works are known worldwide such as "Mewton feat. Haru" for PS4 game, Gravity Rush 2's advertisement which received many international awards including Cannes Lions, One Show, and Clio Awards. Also, he has composed music for movies and drama series which were released internationally such as “Undead Girl Murder Farce(2023)”, "Link Click (2021) ", "The Night Beyond the Tricornered Window” (2021)", "Flavors of Youth(2018)", and "Goodbye, Grandpa! (2017)”. Recent works also include the music for two time Olympic champion Yuzuru Hanyu's “Yuzuru Hanyu ICE STORY2023 “GIFT” at Tokyo Dome” and “PLEATS PLEASE ISSEY MIYAKE 30 years anniversary”. He started his new project “NotANArtist” in 2021 where he focuses on his original music with unique approaches which he developed through his prolific composing for soundtracks and advertisement works.
