Milan Records Releases the Death Stranding 2: On the Beach (Original Video Game Score) and Preorder for Vinyl Album with Music by Ludvig Forssell

NEW YORK, NY (June 27, 2025) – Milan Records today releases DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH (ORIGINAL VIDEO GAME SCORE) featuring music by acclaimed composer LUDVIG FORSSELL for HIDEO KOJIMA's eagerly awaited sequel to 2019's critically acclaimed title DEATH STRANDING. Returning to the universe of DEATH STRANDING, Forssell masterfully builds upon the game's original soundscape to match the ambitious scope of its sequel. From dark, synthetic drones to anthemic movements, the music is once again an intrinsic part of the immersive gameplay, retaining its signature sound while charting a new path to further explore the game's themes of connection, isolation and survival – listen here. Released exclusively on PlayStation® 5, DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH is now available in standard and limited collector's editions now at the link here.

In addition to today's digital release, the album's vinyl edition is now available to preorder through Mondo. Pressed on 3x 140 gram Mondo Exclusive vinyl, this triple LP is housed in a tri fold jacket featuring original artwork by Entei Ryu with embossed inner gatefold lyrics and a transparent vellum belly band.

Of the score, composer LUDVIG FORSSELL says, “After almost 6 years since the first game and 3 years of writing, it is insanely exciting to finally have people get to experience the music of DEATH STRANDING 2: ON THE BEACH. As with the previous title, this time around I had the opportunity to further explore the game's theme of connection, only this time, from the opposite direction. Rather than blindly following an ideal, the music now asks questions like 'should we have connected?' and 'to what end?'. This project stands on the shoulders of its predecessor and reaches farther and wider with new terrain to tread. I am very proud of what we've accomplished and can't wait to see people interact with the game alongside the soundtrack!”
