Kiro Akiyama Releases New Single “Quest” Out Now

Opening Theme for the TV Anime “The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest

Tokyo, Japan — Singer-songwriter Kiro Akiyama has just released his new digital single “Quest” on October 5, 2025 (Sun). The track serves as the opening theme for the TV anime The Banished Court Magician Aims to Become the Strongest.

Comments from Kiro Akiyama about “Quest:”

“Starting something new, ending something, or going through change always comes with judgment. But in those moments, you discover things you would never see otherwise—who helped you, what you truly want. Growth is almost always a battle, but when you accept the risk of loss, you may find a version of yourself you never knew existed. Please listen to such requests through this track 'Quest.' I'd be happy if this song adds even a small additional layer of depth to the story.”

Known for his emotionally charged sound and dynamic songwriting, Kiro Akiyama first drew international attention after being selected for Spotify's “Early Noise 2019” playlist and making his major debut with the album From DROPOUT in 2020. He has since created theme songs for hit anime series such as The Promised Neverland Season 2 and My Hero Academia Season 6. He released the single “INSOMNIA” in April 2025, “Nail is Dead” in August 2025, and continues to expand his activities both in Japan and overseas.
