Kawaii Kon Announces Two Japanese Guests of Honor

Honolulu, HI, January 23, 2010- Kawaii Kon is proud to announce that veteran director and mechanical designer Shinji Aramaki, as well as voice actor Daisuke Kishio will be attending Kawaii Kon 2010 as guests of honor!

Shinji Aramaki
Thanks our continued relationship with Dokoga TV: Japanmania!, Kawaii Kon is again honored to welcome Mr. Aramaki, a huge contributor to the Japanese anime and American cartoon industry for over 20 years. Mr. Aramaki's many credits include:

* Director and Production Designer for Halo Legends
* Director of Appleseed: Ex Machina and Appleseed
* Conceptual Designer for Soul Eater
* Mechanical Design for Wolf's Rain
* Production Design for Fullmetal Alchemist
* Mechanical Design for Naruto the Movie: Ninja Clash in the Land of Snow
* Original Mechanical Design for Robotech: The Shadow Chronicles
* Screenplay, Mecha Design and Production Design for Bubblegum Crisis (OAV)
* Mechanical Design for Genesis Climber Mospeada
* Creator of Transformers Soundwave and Perceptor

This will be his second appearance at Kawaii Kon.

Daisuke Kishio
An accomplished seiyu (Japanese voice actor), Mr. Kishio was nominated at the 2nd Seiyu awards for "Best Actor in a Leading Role", "Best Actor in a Supporting Role", and "Best Radio Personality". His voice can be heard in well over 60 different anime series, as well as numerous video games. Some of his most notable roles include:

* Kaname Kuran in Vampire Knight
* Tsukune Aono in Rosario + Vampire
* Luppi and Hinagiku in Bleach
* Van Flyheight in ZOIDS
* Chitose Hitotose in Happy Lesson

This will be Mr. Kishio's first convention appearance outside of Japan!
