Just what are you planning to do with that key, Himeko?

Can't wait for Yuu vs. Sumire!

not to nitpick, but saki's skirt was shorter in the original series. in side A, it got longer.

just really observant.

spoiler[she accidentally wore one of Mako's skirts, and ended up continuing to do so]

Will be interesting to see how they cover Nodoka's hairstyle change, also wonder if they'll try to integrate some stuff from the manga's version of the training camp, since it was a bit different.

I'm looking forward to another year of Saki characters taking up a third of Saimoe entries and blocking non-mahjong playing entries out of top 8.

Unless we get invididual tournament as well, that's not likely to happen. Teru is vanguard and Saki is captain.

It'll be Teru against Tacos (and useless Kuro again unless Senriyama shows their main character power) and then Saki against Awai (and Shizu/Ryuuka). This matchup was even known way back at the season one anime end as you can clearly see Teru using her special mirror power to look at Tacos in the special ED

Anyway, I figured we wouldn't get this announcement for at least a year. There's still the side b finals to be played in the manga to decide who advances with Kiyosumi.

They'd better hope Kuro is there or they are truly screwed.

saki will request to play first. you can change order. unless the anime make up something, we don't know. Because the manga is not at that point yet.

You cannot change order due to the rules of this tournament.

And, as was stated, we know Teru plays against Yuuki. We actually saw it.

Hell, its almost a running joke at this point that no one actually plays against their rival/lover/fated oponent/whatever in team matches. Look who from Achiga is going to play against Nodoka!

Hmm....I actually haven't watched this in a while.

Hello there Arakawa Kei.

Awai looks rather different than she ended up being, especially once animated in Achiga-hen.

Thats not Soul Mirror, its 9 Lanterns, Interesting.

And quite a bit of Rinkai, whom we still haven't seen in action yet.

No way. Both Toki and Subara did way more to stop Teru Time than Kuro did. And besides you just know that spoiler[since Toki almost died that she's going to get yet another (or perhaps just strenghtened) ridiculously overpowered mahjong power like she did before]

Only if you completely ignore what was actually going on.

spoiler[Yes, Toki did all the hard work, but her work would have been for nought without Kuro. Toki even came right out and said this herself.

Kuro's passive ability, her natural attraction of Dora, makes her the perfect foil for Teru, however someone else has to construct the hands in a way to shut Teru down.

What Dora are are score multipliers, so by attracting all the Dora, Kuro keeps down the values of everyone else's hands, and most importantly, makes it harder for others to artificially boost their score. So as it stands, everyone else scores lower than they would if she wasn't there. However! It has an extra bonus against Teru. TERU TIME is predicated on Teru constantly increasing the values of her hands. Each successive hand MUST be of a higher value than the one before, or Teru Time ends, and she has to start over from the beginning. Obviously its harder to make more valuable hands, and the easiest way to boost your hand's value is with Dora. Without the Dora, not only are Teru's hands lower in value, she has to stretch harder to make them of higher value. She has to use worse waits, and it opens herself up more to being disrupted.

As bad as TERU TIME was, it would have been far, far worse without Kuro. Its going to be up to Yuuki and whoever advances along with Kiyosumi to play Toki's role next time. Hopefully they won't also give their life in the process.]

You forget though that since Kuro discarded a dora that she's not going to have her dora-magnet power next time. And she's not very good at mahjong even with having so many dora in her hand, so imagine how terrible she is without being a dora magnet. Yuu and Ako are the only reason that Achiga is a somewhat competent team.
