Valid point, but for some reason the fact that this is clearly designed to be comedic gives me more hope that the premise will actually be executed properly.
That would work too, but more importantly it has reminded me that I really must get around to watching Lucky Star, soon. |

Do mothers in Japan really wear low cut "outfits" like that on a regular basis? That are clearly showing off their cleavage? From what I hear, no, not at all. There is also a shot of them at a hot springs or something where she appears to be nude. Another where she is nude and appears to be being attacked by something wet and literally calls out "enough, stop!". There is also the fact that her character design is by a porn artist who draws very similar looking characters in some of his work. Maybe a little more subjective, but I would argue that her voice is intended to be somewhat sensual as well. I think your argument that there is nothing suggestive about any of this is pretty weak man. |

You don't think it's suggestive? In that main illustration of her, she's bending forward at the viewer with her arms outstretched and her hands on her legs, which creates a prominent view of her breasts and cleavage (and her outfit allows for such in the first place), with the arms supporting them up. It's a fairly common pose in Japanese media, but I'd say it's still suggestive. In addition, her arms, the hair coming down over her shoulders, and her legs all create focus lines leading roughly to her breasts. By contrast, all of the other characters are just standing there, and the other two female characters don't show nearly as much skin as the mother character does. The one in the green has exposed zettai ryouiki, a tiny amount of midriff, her hands, and her head. The one in the red has zettai ryouiki, her wrists, and her head. |

I don't know about the others but I don't have a fetish towards MILFs. I may be making assumptions, but going by how everything before me is presented, and what I know of the general fanservice attitude in anime/manga/LNs prior, I think the assumption is a fair one. Plus, did you miss the bit at 00:49 in the video? It's quite obviously going for a certain fetish, and you don't need to share that fetish to be able to recognise it. Big boobs + low cut outfit + forward leaning poses that emphasize the boobs + hot spring scenes + actual fan service in the video + art by a porn artist.................. the maths adds up. |
