Sachiko Takeuchi Launches New Manga

Kabukicho Karaoke Tenin Toshikuni-san debuted on May 22
Kodansha's Morning two magazine published the first two chapters of Sachiko Takeuchi's new manga titled Kabukicho Karaoke Tenin Toshikuni-san (Kabukicho Karaoke Clerk Toshikuni) on May 22.

The story follows the taciturn store clerk Toshikuni, who soothes his customers' worries with his gentle song selection at Karaoke Nyan. Toshikuni has his own agenda, however, and reasons for working the troublesome job.
Takeuchi's General Manager of Baby (Aka-chan Honbuchō) manga inspired an anime adaptation in March 2021.
Takeuchi launched the manga in Kodansha's Baby Mofu web magazine in 2017. Kodansha published the manga's third and final compiled book volume in February 2020.
